Many kind of animal in this world, but just one kind of animal which is loved by me. The animal is tiger which have the stripes in their body. :)
Tiger is the members of the cat family, but the tigers have a big body not like cat. The species of tiger is Panthera tigris. It means that the genus of tiger is Panthera and the species of tiger is tigris.
Do you know? There are eight recognized subspecies of Panthera tigris, and Indonesia has three subspecies such as P.t.sondaica (Javan tigers), P.t.sumatrae (Sumatra tigers), and P.t.balica (Bali tigers). But, the range of all tigers in Indonesia is to be extinct. It become because many people who hunting to get this animal for their need. I don’t know why they are so crazy for hunting tiger. In fact, tiger have one important function as predator in the jungle, after lion.
Tigers live in a wide variety of habitats, suggested by their distribution across a wide range of ecological condition. They can adapt in all of kind habitat, and do you know? Tigers have been found at elevations of 3.960 meters. In general, tigers require only some vegetation cover, a source of water, and sufficient prey. Tigers usually live 8 to 10 years in the wild, although they can reach ages into their 20’s.
Tigers have a reddish-orange coat with vertical black stripes along the flanks and shoulders that vary in size and spacing. Some subspecies have paler fur and some are almost fully white either black or dark brown stripes along the flanks and shoulders. Mass of tiger can be attaining till 423 kg, and their length can be attaining till 3.70 meters. And do you know? Sumatran tigers are the smallest living subspecies. Male Sumatran tigers measure 2.34 meters and weigh 136 kg, and female Sumatran tigers measure 1.98 meters and weigh 91 kg. From that, we can imagine the physic of different kind of tigers, like Siberian tigers (Panthera tigris altaica). Siberian tigers are the largest tiger. Male Siberian tigers can grow to 3.7 meters and weigh over 423 kg, and female Siberian tigers are up to 2.4 meters in length and 168 kg in weigh. Wow!! It’s so large!
Exactly, I don’t know why I love this animal. I just know if the tigers are extinct animal and I’m falling in love after that. Not just tigers, but komodo, rhinoceros, and much kind of animals, I love all of them!!!
I have one dream about tigers. I wish that I can take the photo with the tiger from the zoo or the jungle. But, it must be impossible I want to take a photo the tigers in really habitat (jungle), so I want to take that at the zoo. I hope I can take one photo.. Umppp.. No! No! Not just one photo, but many photo with them early. Maybe you look at me like a child, but that’s my dream. :)
